SUMMARY
The Clinical Dentist supervises, consults, refers, and instructs Dental Hygiene Students. All Concorde associates are required to display professionalism and uphold Concorde’s Mission and the core values of respect for the individual, integrity, teamwork, customer service, and achievement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and be present in the clinic during all clinic sessions
- Responsible for handling all medical emergencies that arise during clinic hours
- Prescribe proper medication as the need arises
- Administer local anesthesia when appropriate
- Answer questions from both students and patients
- Serve as authority to dental hygiene faculty/staff regarding dental matters
- Identify treatments for those patients that are medically compromised
- Identify pathologies and make the appropriate referral – medical and/or dental
- Refer patients for follow-up treatment
- Prescribe pit and fissure sealants as needed
- Identify and evaluate any lesions, anomaly, or deviation from the normal
- Review radiographs and make a subsequent diagnosis based on the review
- Review health histories of the patients and make referrals to a physician as necessary
- Evaluate students as they provide patient care through each process and end-result
- Provide consulting services to patients to suggest and review treatment plans
- Perform other duties, as assigned

If qualified, some teaching responsibilities may be assigned
Hourly range from $68.00 - $82.50/HR based on experience and education.
